helping others provide emotional support
The Kitchen Sink Project hosts one fundraiser annually* for a local or statewide nonprofit organization that provides mental health awareness or suicide prevention services. These events, called H.O.P.E.S. events, include a silent auction, live performances, and other fun activities that are unique to each fundraiser. The items featured in our silent auctions include original works of art and custom merchandise created by members of the extremely talented Skeleton Clique (the fanbase of the band twenty one pilots). Even our performers are part of the Clique (with some occasional special guests)! We also reach out to local area businesses to help provide products and services at our events. We love seeing people come together to support their communities!
H.O.P.E.S. is an acronym for Helping Others Provide Emotional Support, which is the aim and focus of our fundraising events. Each member of our team has a passion for mental health awareness. For some of us, it stems from personal battles against mental illness. For others, it's a result of how we see the lack of mental health awareness impacting the world. For many of us, it is both. We want to raise awareness about mental health resources and suicide prevention programs all over the country. Our goal is to help provide some financial assistance to organizations that provide these services to their communities. There is an ever-growing need for these organizations, and we understand that financial resources can be spread very thin. We want to do our part. We have seen the Skeleton Clique come together to do wonderful things. It's time we used our talents to reach out and give back to the world around us.
*Please note that as we prepare to launch The Kitchen Sink Project as its own official nonprofit organization, we are putting our H.O.P.E.S. events on hold until 2021.
We are still accepting nominations for organizations and assisting nonprofits nationwide!
